Following the company's remarkable worldwide growth over the past year, 3PAR, the leading provider of Utility Storage, announced today the expansion of its European operations with the appointment of John Taffinder as General Manager for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Taffinder, a highly accomplished senior executive and a well-known figure in the European storage industry, joins 3PAR's global sales management team and will report to Jim Dawson, Vice President of Worldwide Sales. At 3PAR, Taffinder will be responsible for the growth of the company's business within the EMEA market.
Taffinder joins 3PAR from Hitachi Data Systems, where until recently he held the top EMEA role of Executive Vice President and General Manager and was responsible for a team of approximately 1,000 people. Under Taffinder's direction, HDS successfully expanded its operations across EMEA and signed an average of one new customer each working day, leading to doubled revenues in a four year period.
