Gartner has introduced 3PAR into the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Midrange Enterprise Disk Arrays, released on July 29, 2004.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant highlights the relative strengths of vendors in the midrange enterprise disk array marketplace worldwide and is a well-regarded tool for vendor selection. Gartner positioned 3PAR in the visionary area of the quadrant. According to Gartner, visionaries have a clear vision of market direction and offer leadership products and services, yet have relatively smaller market share and revenue within the industry.
