Freudenberg IT (FIT)

» Press Release
» Case Study (English)

As a full-service international IT provider, Freudenberg IT (FIT) implements, optimizes, and operates IT systems in SAP environments. FIT chose 3PAR to replace poorly performing products from a traditional storage vendor and to date has deployed a total of five 3PAR InServ® Storage Servers in Germany and the US. With 3PAR Utility Storage, FIT can add capacity seamlessly at any time while the 3PAR InForm® Operating System makes their storage management simple and efficient.

3PAR Utility Storage represents a great investment for us since we can implement storage virtualization for our Windows and VMware platforms internationally from one central point, and without any hardware or software upgrade. We have also found the 3PAR arrays require much fewer management resources since the time and effort to provision storage is negligible as compared to traditional storage systems.

Manager Business Unit Hosting International, Freudenberg IT (FIT)

OpSource

» Press Release

OpSource delivers a complete Web operations solution for software as a service (SaaS) and Web companies. Providing everything but the application itself, OpSource is the only Web operations company whose customers pay only for what they sell, not for the resources they consume. OpSource purchased the 3PAR InServ S800 Storage Server to increase storage capability for their customers' SaaS applications. With 3PAR Thin Provisioning, OpSource can now deliver an On-Demand Business Model for their customers.

3PAR Utility Storage fits perfectly with our business model. We price our Optimal On-Demand SaaS enablement and delivery solution so that software companies pay only for the resources they need, as they need them. 3PAR allows us to acquire storage capacity in much the same way, as opposed to buying all the storage we expect our customers to use in the coming year and then having most of that resource sit around, paid for but unused, for most of the year.

-Treb Ryan
CEO, OpSource

RagingWire Telecommunications

RagingWire Telecommunications purchased their 3PAR InServ Storage Server because utility storage was a requirement within their advanced, next-generation datacenter environment. The 3PAR system has been deployed in RagingWire's class-A datacenter.

A key differentiator for us is the ability to offer highly customized and flexible IT services that meet the business needs of large, enterprise-class companies. The 3PAR InServ provides us with the simplified storage management needed to rapidly respond to our clients' requests in seconds rather than hours or days, cost-effectively scale to their growing needs, and deliver simple provisioning and administration at very competitive costs.

Verizon Business

» Verizon Business Storage White Paper

Verizon Business has built their on-demand storage service on 3PAR Utility Storage. The aim of Verizon Business is to help companies better manage and store their growing volume of corporate data. With their new pay-as-you-go service model, companies utilizing Verizon Business' Enterprise Hosting Services can store critical company information more easily and cost-effectively using Verizon Business' new shared infrastructure. This infrastructure leverages its extensive capabilities in server, IP network, and storage management.

Through the use of only a few key commands, storage may be provisioned to a host without specialized training or intimate knowledge of the low-level devices within the enclosure. This speeds up storage provisioning exponentially and allows us to service customer requests more efficiently.

-Christopher J. Wilson
Storage Architect, Verizon Business, Verizon Business
